Coach Paul Newman and Senior award winners Liam Barrett, Liam Odgen and Jordan Williams

IT JUST keeps getting better for Kyabram Football Club star Jordan Williams.

The stylish left-footer not only celebrated the Bombers’ second successive premiership win this season but also his second Ron McRae and Alan Vick Memorial award for the club’s best and fairest. He also won the award last season.

Williams, who enjoyed another stellar season, polled 237 votes to win from dynamic rover Liam Ogden (215), Billy Burstin (210), Aaron Hayes (191) and Lachlan Smith (188).

Scott McRae, a son of the late Kyabram player and club stalwart Ron McRae, made the long trip from Merimbula on the NSW south coast to make the presentation to Williams at the club’s awards night at Hurleys Hotel last Saturday night.

Ron McRae lost his life in a car accident in 1975.

Reserves

THE reserves award was won by determined utility Charlie McLay.

McLay had a very consistent season and was a deserving winner.

He polled 245 votes to beat Will Wild (230) and Adam Lovison (224), Josh Pell (158) and Brad Anderson 154.

Thirds

IN THE thirds, strong onballer Coby McCarthy took the honours despite playing only 11 games.

The ball magnet polled 353 votes to win from Josh Dillon (284), Nic Darling (182), Curtis Ryan (165) and Daniel Lawson 154.
