KYABRAM Football Club has finalised its coaches for 2018 with a new face at the helm for its under 18 team.
Mark Dillon will again coach the reserves after leading the team to the flag this season in his first stint as coach.
Glenn Hart has been appointed the new thirds coach, replacing club Hall Of Famer and Legend Tony McDonell. McDonell didn’t seek the position again after leading the side to this season’s grand final and premiership.
Hart takes on the thirds role with a wealth of experience behind him. He was a right hand man to Mark Dillon this season after joining the club from Merrigum where he held a selectors role and match day guidance from the sidelines.
Hart is a member of a keen football family with his brother Shaun a triple Brisbane Lions premiership player. He played in the Lions hat-trick of premierships from 2001-2003, as a utility player. He is currently the director of coaching at Port Adelaide Power.
Apart from coaching Kyabram’s up and coming players next season Hart is the coach of the Kyabram Cricket Club and has the A grade team sitting with three wins and a loss after four games.
Club president Peter Croxford said the reappointment of Mark Dillon and the appointment of Hart would be well received in the club and by supporters.
‘‘They are good fits for those positions and with Paul (senior coach Paul Newman) coaching the seniors again I think the club is in good hands with its on field leaders,’’ Croxford said.
