Car nearly collides with shop front

WITNESSES were left shocked after a car narrowly missed smashing through the front window of Kyabram's Tangles Hairdressing.

A 60-year-old Kyabram man was travelling east on Allan St past the Unwin St intersection when he lost control of his Ford Sedan, causing the rear end to slide out.

The vehicle spun 180 degrees and collided with a legally parked car on the north side of Allan St, the force of the collision pushing the car forward five metres.

The out of control vehicle then mounted the curb, stopping eight inches short of the shop front.

Tangles hairdresser Nicole Bradley said she was still shaken from the incident.

"We just heard a bang and then the car was there, right at our window," she said.

"We've been told to go buy a Tatts Lotto ticket, we're that lucky. It was so close, we're relieved everyone's okay.

"My niece just knocked off and walked out. Imagine if she'd been in front of the window."

No injuries were sustained by the driver.

Investigations are continuing into the cause.

Anyone with information should contact Leading Senior Constable Corey Wild at Kyabram police on 5853 1777.
