BUILDERS Chris and Clare Wilson hadn’t even finished their four-townhouse development on Haslem Street before all the buildings had sold.
Every last one of them.
It’s because they listen to what the community is calling for. That, and they strive for top-quality workmanship.
It’s this magical combination that has won them glowing reports from buyers – plus some other top accolades on the side.
Chris and Clare recently won a Housing Industry Association (HIA) housing award for their project at 20 Haslem St, Kyabram.
Representing the pinnacle of achievement in Australia’s residential building industry, the awards acknowledge the talent of designers, builders and building companies who plan and construct quality new housing and apartments, renovations and outdoor projects.
Chris and Clare’s project was judged on quality of workmanship, design effectiveness, visual appeal, innovation, environmental sustainability and market relevance.
“We sold to our target market we had in mind when we built it,” Clare said.
While Chris is a stickler for quality work, he brushes this off as a trait possessed by anyone who loves what they do.
“We wanted it to be a quality product. It’s an honour receiving this award, as we were judged by industry peers,” he said.
“They’re builders too and they know what they’re looking for.”
Above all, Chris and Clare say everything they do stems from relationships with their customers. “We’re not volume builders. We get to know our clientele on a personal level,” Clare said.
“That’s why they choose Chris as their builder. He’s a custom home builder, listening to their ideas and designing from there.”
