Who wants a slice of salami profits?

James Di Petta and fellow Kyabram Salami Muster committee members are looking for local groups in need of funds.

AFTER proving to be a delicious success the second time around, the Kyabram Salami Muster is looking to donate this year’s proceeds to a worthy local cause.

The committee is calling on local groups to submit expressions of interest to receive a share in profits from the event.

‘‘Rather than just giving to the orginisations that get the most publicity, we want to put a shout out and hear who else needs help,’’ Kyabram Salami Muster president Jimmy Di Petta said.

‘‘There might even be a family who needs some funds to support their child’s dream.’’

Locals can email their applications — including what amount they’re after and what it will be used for — to [email protected]

Applications can also be dropped at the muster’s major sponsor, Kyabram Main Street Butchery.

The committee divided last year’s proceeds between the Gift and local chaplaincy.

This year’s muster drew 200-strong crowds and looks set to continue growing.

The committee is on the look-out for new members. Those interested in joining can email the committee.
