COUNCIL has adopted a new domestic animal management plan for 2017-21.

COUNCIL has adopted a new domestic animal management plan for 2017-21.

The plan supports and encourages responsible pet ownership and provides clear direction for animal shelter staff, community rangers and local law officers to assist them in their roles.

The plan also reflects the transition of the Campaspe Animal Shelter in-house, which has enhanced opportunities to effectively manage services.

The shelter offers a growing range of programs including animal identification and registration, responsible pet ownership initiatives, foster caring arrangements, support of rescue groups and community networks and volunteer engagement and support.

The plan is available on council’s website.
