KYVALLEY Tennis Club will once again be on-court for the Australian Open Kids on Court showcase experience in Melbourne.
This will be the second year the team has headed off to Melbourne to be part of the showcase which will take place on January 22.
The news was announced by Tennis Victoria’s Sue Dundas at the final Hot Shots session for the year on November 23.
At the end of the session, players were also presented with their ANZ Hot Shots participation certificates.
“The six week program proved to be a record breaker, we had 60 children from around the district register for the past season,” Hot Shots coordinator Melissa Williams said.
“Since then, ANZ has told us that for the third year in a row we have been allocated 50 free tickets and $500 towards bus transfers to the 2018 ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Day at the Australian Open.
“We also have to congratulate Chloe McLeod who won the last Hot Shots racket and Phoenix Greenman who won a $50 Rebel Sports voucher.”
The club’s fundraising efforts continue to keep the committee busy with barbecue fundraisers at Woolworths Kyabram and Bunnings Echuca.
The club would like to take the opportunity to thank Bakers Delight Kyabram for their ongoing support with donations of bread for the barbecue fundraisers.
