Thieves steal cash from clubrooms

Police are appealing for witnesses to a single vehicle accident on Saturday night.

KYABRAM police are appealing for anyone with information regarding a theft at Kyabram’s Cricket Clubrooms.

Thieves gained access to the rooms and stole a quantity of cash between 8am on February 19 and 1pm on February 22.

■Heavy-duty chains and buckles to the value of $850 were stolen from the Kyabram Transfer Station on Everard Rd between 3pm on February 23 and 8am on February 26.

■Police and Kyabram CFA were called to a fire on a vacant block in Crow Cres on Saturday evening. Police believe the fire may have been deliberately lit.

■Thieves targeted the Stanhope Recreation Reserve between February 28 and March 5, stealing a $5000 generator out of a storage shed.

■A farmer on Cooma Rd had a $50,000 tractor stolen from their property. Police are asking anyone who may have seen the yellow Challenger tractor to contact the station or Crimestoppers.

■Police are appealing for witnesses after a car veered off Lancaster Rd and came to rest in an orchard after hitting a bus shelter (pictured).

The red Mitsubishi sedan was heading west when the driver lost control of the vehicle on Saturday night.

Police believe a witness stopped to assist the driver and then left.
