LOCALS are being encouraged to head to the memorial gardens for the Good Friday combined churches community service.
The Christian community of Ky and district will converge to observe Easter together.
And Chaplain Liz Spicer is encouraging everyone to come along.
“There’s more to Easter than just the bunnies and eggs — although we do like chocolate,” she said.
“We’re holding this service to reflect on the true meaning of why we have Good Friday and Easter.
“It’s a chance for all of the Christian Churches in the area to get together and afterwards there’ll be hot cross buns and a cuppa for everyone.”
The service will begin at 10am and everyone is reminded to bring their own chair.
