KYVALLEY Section One has claimed their fourth consecutive KDTA premiership.
The seniors had a good start to grand final day winning the men’s doubles 8-1, men’s singles 6-4 and the ladies doubles got to 5-all before rain stopped play.
Play was stopped a second time due the rain and after taking the court for the third time Kyvalley continued their winning run and were in an unbeatable position, 27 games up, going into the mixed doubles.
The Kyvalley mixed double combinations proved too good for Merrigum, winning 8-6, 8-3, 8-3 with the final score Kyvalley 10-76 to Merrigum 0-32.
Kyvalley’s Sue Carroll was the most consistent female in the association with a winning percentage of 95.24 per cent and Kyvalley’s Joel Goulding was the most consistent male with a winning percentage of 88.89 per cent.
Tom Owen from Churches won the best and fairest for the KDTA with 23 points while second was Kelsey Hageman from Rushworth on 19 points and third was Michael Telford also from Rushworth with 18 points.
