THE third annual F-6 athletics carnival was held on Thursday, August 15. Once again the weather was amazing and the buzz and excitement around the Cooma Recreation Reserve was brilliant.

The addition of a coffee van was a big hit for the spectators. All foundation to year six students participated in a range of athletic events throughout the day and there was a great atmosphere at all of the events. The foundation to two students took part in modified javelin for the first time this year and really enjoyed the new experience. The years three to six students competed in their age groups with a selected few from each of the events going on to the Waranga and District carnival.
The years seven to 12 carnival was also a fantastic day. Luckily, the weather held off for most of the day, allowing us to complete all of the events in time. This year, we had the school canteen running at the carnival, which was well supported by our students. Mr Bugoss kept the music pumping throughout the day and the addition of the tug of war and sack races was entertaining to say the least.
Congratulations to Augustine who went back to back with a resounding win.
A huge thank you to all the parents who came along and the staff for their work throughout the day. Well done to all the students who competed in events and congratulations to the winners who will be going to the next level in Bendigo.
