KYABRAM Cricket Club takes another step towards defending its Cricket Shepparton Twenty20 title when it meets Northerners in a group semi-final tonight.
The game is being hosted by Kyabram and starts at 6.30pm at the Kyabram recreation reserve. Refreshments will be available and the club is looking for a good crowd to urge on the locals.
According to Kyabram coach Glen Hart former state quick Jayde Herrick, a star in the first round win over Tatura with four wickets, will play again along with another import, Fire Brigade allrounder Dale Shaw. Captain Kyle Mueller will also return to bolster the team’s run-scoring power.
The competition allows each side to play two players by invitation.
Kyabram progressed to the finals after its second round group clash against Mooroopna at Mooroopna was washed out last week.
Kyabram beat Tatura in the first round.
