Mr Gread, who died on August 8, 2021 at the age of 84, was a former local government councillor who played a prominent part in Numurkah public life and who was an advocate for irrigated farming in northern Victoria.
He once described the region as a real “Garden of Eden”.
Kevin Hicks Real Estate has been instructed to conduct an online clearing sale to finalise Mr Gread’s estate.
The online sale will start on Tuesday, March 8 at 10am and will wind up on March 15.
The sale begins with the heavy equipment from the quarrying operation, which includes a John Deere 6830 tractor, Caterpillar 320 excavator, Traxacavator 977L, four industrial front-end loaders, sand screen and sand screen stacker, 2011 Volvo FM tip truck, mobile fuel tanks, water cart and sheep’s foot roller.
The list of general farm equipment and sundries includes two tractors, hay rake, hay forks, grader blade and pumps.
There is a large quantity of workshop tools and equipment, also a large quantity of parts both new and used, including filters, bearings, gaskets and spare wheels.
There are several antique Sunshine McKay gates and a Sunshine harvester which is complete.
Inspection days are Thursday, March 3 and Monday, March 7 from 10am to noon.
