KYABRAM will be well represented at the Aussie Bush Entertainment Muster in Benalla this weekend, with bush poet Mick Coventry in the Friday night line-up.
The event is part of the Victorian Seniors Festival.
Mick, who contributes weekly to the Free Press in his Square Dinkum column, has a wonderful ability to transport his audience down a rabbit hole with story and rhyme.
The Muster itself is in its eighth year and is run by the Victorian Bush Poets and Music Association.
There is a stellar line-up of talent, with comedian and poet Col Milligan hosting the festivities and the popular Euroa Ukelele Group strumming up a storm on Friday night.
They will be joined by award-winning bush poet Laurie Webb and the 2018 Victorian Champion singer Dona McQueen from Wangaratta.
Col Milligan will perform during the Saturday night Australiana concert, which will also feature the winners of the original and non-original sections of the Victorian Song Championships. Doors open at 8am Saturday and Sunday for walk-up performances of song, rhyming poetry and yarns from 8.30am.A full order of events can be found at www.vbpma.com.au.
