And she is a woman with a firm plan of action.
In Merrigum, a new CWA branch for young girls is set to kick off in the next few months.
Its purpose will be to equip young people with the skills they need to bloom.
“The CWA isn't just for old women,” Ms Gade said.
“It gives young women the chance to cut their teeth — it's about so much more than cooking, baking and knitting.”
She described the CWA as the biggest advocacy group for rural women and children, and said that young people had a lot to gain from joining up.
“There are lots of kids who are disengaged who need some good role models,” she said.
“For over 95 years, tens of thousands of regional women and their suburban sisters have gathered over a cuppa and something scrumptious.
“And we've planned pathways to help vulnerable women, children and their families.
“Service to others is good for your soul and your self-worth.
“Don't think we are all about bake sales and craft days. That is how we connect and fundraise. just a smidge of what we do that is visible.
“Ninety per cent of our activities involve advocacy, done silently with passion and commitment.”
Ms Gade has a vision for CWA that would see it cropping up on university campuses as a new generation of women take the reins.
“It's all about getting out and understanding what the issues are in your own community,” Ms Gade said.
The Merrigum branch is looking to run two meetings a month, including one craft day and one business day where members discuss the causes they care about and how to best support them.
