The free event will be held at John Pilley Reserve in place of the Memorial Gardens, while breakfast has been moved forward to 8 am.
Kyabram Rotary Club president Carol Howell said the changes would hopefully bring more people out on January 26.
“We thought that seven o’clock was a little too early for breakfast on a public holiday. People are more likely to come at eight than seven,” she said.
“And the fauna park is perhaps the most Australian of our parks. It’s just a lovely big area,” she said.
At 8 am the Australian Flag will be raised followed by the national anthem.
Breakfast will then be served accompanied by music from Nick Tenace with celebrations to officially begin at 9 am.
The Kyabram Citizens of the Year awards will be handed out at the event, which pay tribute to the outstanding members of the community in 2019.
The fauna park is also offering $10 entry to attendees of the celebrations.
Carol said Australia Day was one of the most important public holidays of the year and was a great opportunity for community members to get together.
“Everyone should celebrate Australia Day. It’s our national day,” she said.
