Accused Echuca burglar remanded in custody

The 22-year-old was charged with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, as well as the burglary of Dunstall Rural Supplies in Echuca and theft of a bicycle on January 7, evading police in Mooroopna on January 8 and driving a stolen car from Moama on January 27.

The Kyabram resident, formerly of Echuca and Tongala, was remanded in custody overnight before appearing in Echuca Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

He made no bail application and was further remanded to Bendigo Magistrates Court on February 10.
