Both grant programs are open for two rounds each year, and Mayor Chrissy Weller said they were both “hotly contested by community groups and businesses”.
“In the past, community organisations such as Kyabram Blue Light has been successful in their application, receiving $4000 towards the health, fitness and wellbeing centre at Kyabram P-12 College.”
“Tongala Cricket Club is another example of a successful past applicant, granted $1000 for their TCC Mini Blues Program, encouraging the youngest Tongala residents to play and participate in the cricket club.”
“I strongly encourage all community groups who are planning projects and programs to put forward an application.”
The maximum grant allowance for community groups is $4000.
Regarding business grants, there are four different funding categories.
A start up or new business operating for less than one year with one to 10 full-time equivalent employees is eligible for a maximum grant application of $3000.
A small business with two to 10 full-time equivalent employees is eligible for a maximum grant application of $5000.
A medium-sized business with 11 to 19 full-time employees is eligible for a maximum grant application of $10,000.
A large business of more than 20 full-time employees is eligible for a maximum grant application of $15,000.
