Kyabram is once again dominating the GVL season - sitting atop the table with 15 wins from as many starts - but the Magpies have been one of only a few sides able to truly challenge the Bombers during their marauding run.
The Magpies have still been on the end of their fair share of heavy defeats against the Bombers, but have been within two kicks of knocking over tomorrow's opponent on two occasions since 2017.
In round nine of that season Euroa fell just seven points short of Kyabram, following it up in the next meeting of the outfits - round two last year - with an 11-point defeat.
Scott Rowan's troops also have the added motivation of a spot in the top six dangling as a carrot in front of them.
Already a game outside the knockout spots, even if the Magpies were to win their final two matches it may not be enough to jump into sixth spot if the Bombers get on a roll at Kyabram Recreation Reserve tomorrow.
In last week's loss to Seymour the likes of JD Hayes, Ben Harrison, Jacob Gleeson and Adam Giobbi (three goals) stood tall, and the quartet will need even more help this time around.
For the Bombers, a bruising encounter against Echuca last week left plenty of sore bodies in its wake, and co-coach Paul Newman knows his charges can not take Euroa lightly this round.
"It's always a tough game against Euroa," Newman said.
"They've got some really good players, throw different things at us with their size and personnel and obviously they're playing for their survival, so it's going to be another pretty hot contest I think."
Jason Morgan went down with a hamstring injury last week for the Bombers, but Josh Pell could be ready to return from a soft tissue complaint of his own.
Fellow members of the club's injury ward Josh Vick and Reid Crowe are unlikely to be available to take on the Magpies.
