While their teammates in the seniors had gained all the attention throughout the season, their reserves side has flown well and truly under the radar, despite finishing second on the ladder in the competition.
But no one at the club seems to mind the lack of attention - they are just happy to see a successful year for their whole club.
Coach Steven Joyce said there was a strong feeling of camaraderie around the entire playing group.
"It's genuinely amazing the feeling around our club right now," he said.
"There's always been a feeling around our club that we are one big group, not two individual teams. So for both sides to be there on the last day of the season is a great feeling."
After finishing the year 16-2, the Blues had an 18-point win in the qualifying final against Rumbalara before smashing Nathalia by 70-points to book a spot in the decider.
Joyce said it has been a brilliant season for the playing group.
"We've been able to play a lot of great football this year," he said.
"We've been really lucky in keeping everyone fit and on the park, there hasn't been a lot of disruption and it has allowed us to play our best football week in and week out. It's a great bunch of guys, everyone is working towards the one goal of claiming a flag and that is really important for our success."
The Blues may have a win against the Rumba three weeks ago, but Joyce said his side won't read too much into the previous result.
"Rumba are a side who can be absolutely brilliant on their day," Joyce said.
"They have had a few of their more senior players back into their twos side when we played them last, so it was a very satisfying result for us.
"But we are also wary of what they are able to produce this week."
