IT was a successful year across the board for the Kyabram Knights soccer club, which culminated at the Shepparton Junior Soccer Association finals series and Gala Day held in September.

The Knights’ under 12s went all the way to the preliminary final against Shepparton East, but ultimately fell short 5-0.
Under 12s player Damien Hatzie was awarded the SJSA Division Three Under 12s Best and Fairest award, as well as with the Golden Boot for the division.
The under 15s took on Tatura in a thrilling contest that went all the way into extra time, but saw their season slip away after letting in two goals.
Kyabram’s under 10s also took part in SJSA’s Gala Day, which provided an opportunity for the players to test themselves in a more competitive setting.
The Knights managed to win two out of their three pool games, which booked them a spot in the semi-final against St Luke’s.
Nothing separated the two young sides, but eventually the Knights came out on top after a nail-biting penalty shootout.
The grand final against the Bourchier Eagles was another thrilling contest, which was fought hard by both sides.
Kyabram showed great tenacity in defence and put pressure on in the forward line to be named 3-1 victors at full time.
