A WASH-out in the Hurley’s Hotel Hounds versus Jarvis Delaney Crushers clash at Kyabram’s Northern Oval on Sunday has left three teams fighting for one spot in the final of the Crane Aid Goulburn Valley inaugural Bush Bash League series.
Hurley Hotel Hounds were 3/76 off 11 overs when a violent storm swept in from the north east mid afternoon, ending play for the day.
Tatura’s Michael Archer was 33 not out when the game was called off and Katandra’s Jedd Wright had contributed 24.
Kyabram’s Kyle Mueller holed out for four.
Under the rules Hounds and Crushers will spit the premiership points, each gaining one point.
This means Hounds will now have to beat Cobram Panel Panthers in the final round at Deakin Reserve, Shepparton, on Sunday week, February 2 to be a chance to make the final.
If Hounds win they will then have to rely on Mud Dogs accounting for Crushers in the series decider.
In the early game on Sunday Mud Dogs won the battle against the other first round winners Panthers to book their spot in the final.
Panthers scored 9/107 and the Mud Dogs got home by four deliveries with one wicket in hand.
