Harry, an avid thirds and seniors player for the Timbercutters, passed away in a car crash five years ago.
Mathoura honoured his memory, and spread awareness about road safety, in this week’s round eight meeting with Tocumwal, the same side Harry made his senior debut against.
Kyle Maher spoiled Jordy Priestley’s mark.
Mathoura, which is in the midst of a difficult couple of years on the field, wasn’t able to offer much against Toc in the first half on home soil, finding just two behinds before the break.
The Bloods, contrastingly, kicked a lethal eight straight in the first term, before adding 6.3 in the second to lock up the game by halftime.
The Cutters rallied somewhat after the break, frustrating the Bloods into more minor scores and kicking their first two goals to lose the term by only two points, but there was no road back into the game as Tocumwal prevailed comfortably, 19.20 (134) to 3.7 (25).

Clinton Atkinson slotted two of the Mathoura goals, Jordan Jones provided the third, while Tocumwal had good production from Brayden Hall and Ricky Gittens, who kicked five each.
Mathoura remains mired in a group of four sides yet to taste victory this year.

Percentage places the Cutters 14th in the 16-team league.
Those four seem destined to avoid each other for as long as possible, and the Timbercutters won’t face one of the other three until round 12 on June 27.
Next weekend, Mathoura goes back on the road, facing off with one of the higher-ranked sides, Katamatite (5-2).
