Tyler Norman, who played 15 games and kicked nine goals for the Kyabram Under-16 team this season, and Max Carroll were members of the Pioneers division one team.
Norman came to Kyabram after an Under-14 season with Tongala in the Murray League that netted him 42 goals in 11 games.
In 10 of those games he finished among the team’s best players.
Max Carroll has also played all 15 games with the Bombers Under-16 team this year, a five-goal haul in the elimination final a highlight of his season.
Lachy Carver played 12 games for the Bombers in the GVL Under-16 competition, kicking seven goals, after winning a Goulburn Murray Junior League best and fairest award a year earlier.
He kicked 24 goals from 10 games with St Augustine’s that season and still has a year at Under-16 level.
Carver’s Division two team lost by 40 points to Gippsland on day one of the carnival, but responded on day two with a 53-point victory against the Goulburn Murray team.
He kicked a goal in the second match and collected 20 touches, backing up his first round effort when he played at half back and then in the midfield.
Carroll and Norman played in an opening round 68 point loss to Gippsland, then were involved in a 19-point win against Goulburn Murray in round two.
Around 600 of the best young footballers from across regional Victoria will get the chance to participate in the September 2022 V/Line Cup Carnival.
The V/Line Cup will take place in Shepparton as a three-day carnival from 19-21 September, with boys and girls who would have competed in the Under-15 age group in 2022 eligible to participate in the upcoming competition.
The V/Line Cup comprises three divisions – two boys divisions and a girl’s division – and features representative teams from seven regions playing in a total of 21 matches. Each team will contest two matches over the three days.
