Stanhope trainer Greg Lewis made it two wins from his past three starts with pacer Little Demon, an all-the-way winner at the pre-Christmas Shepparton meeting.

Abbey Turnbull has driven the three-year-old Modern Art gelding, who ran third at Bendigo last Thursday night, to all three of his career wins from just the 10 starts.
• Merrigum trainer-driver Luke Bryant produced lightly raced trotter Violetta Gift for a well-deserved win at the Ballarat meeting on Boxing Day night.
The five-year-old Andover Hall mare was given the run of the race by Bryant and finished stoutly for a runaway win.
With second placings in her previous two starts, Violetta Gift started a $2.80 favourite.
Violetta Gift is out of the former smart Sundon trotting mare Shez Allrighty, a winner of 13 races who is also the dam of another of the Bryant team of trotters, Lexington Queen, a winner of four races to date.
At the annual New Year’s Day night meeting at Echuca, Kyabram-trained trotter Jackson Square took out one of the feature events.
The Mick Blackmore-prepared trotter, driven by John Caldow, outclassed his rivals over the 2530m trip from a 30m back-mark handicap to notch his 11th career win for Stanhope owner-breeder Mac Poole.
