There were some mixed results for clubs from around the region in the Picola and District League on the weekend.

In the senior football competition, Strathmerton won its second game in a row, downing Blighty at the Strathmerton Recreation Reserve.
The Bulldogs were all over the Red Eyes from the get go, taking a 52-point lead into the first break and an 87 point margin into half time.
Strathmerton did not take its foot off the pedal, piling on more goals in the second half to run out 26.16 (172) to 4.3 (27) winners.
Zack Betson kicked five on the day, while Ryan Butler was named best on ground.
At Jubilee Park, Katamatite received an early season wake-up call, with Tungamah downing the Tigers by 89 points.
This game started with both sides playing well, with Tungamah holding a seven-point lead into the first break, however from there the Bears were dominant.

Katamatite looked a shell of its recent self on the scoreboard, with big win from the ladder-leading Tungamah seeing the Tigers fall to sixth on the ladder.
In the reserves competition, Yarroweyah went down to Waaia by 103 points.
Corey Percy, Geoff Benson and Beau Quinane all performed well for the Hoppers, in what was a tough game against a strong Waaia team.
In the A-grade netball competition, Strathmerton produced a strong 34-goal win over Blighty, while Katamatite fell to Tungamah by just two goals.
Yarroweyah’s B-grade side was unlucky, falling to Waaia by 14 goals.
