The stroke event sponsored by Drummond Golf was an important day as it was the playoff for the Silver Spoon, the second qualifying round of the Veterans event, and the Star medallist play-off.

Jan Coe played well to win A-grade with 69 nett, which also gave her a runaway win for the Star medallist trophy. Runner-up was Heather Long with 73 nett.

B-grade winner was Di Day with 72 nett. Runner/up was Di Ballantyne with 75 nett.

Ball winners: Sheryl Curran, Terri Wangeman, Janette Hayward, Lyn Flett and Judy Baker 75 nett.

Nearest to the pins: Third Blossoms with Love - Jan Coe; sixth Tatura Hot Bread - Julie-Ann Ward; 14th One-4-One Café - Liz Mulcahy.

Silver Spoon was won on countback by Terri Wangeman from Judy Baker, who each scored 75 nett, Terri will play for a case of spoons in the state final at Keysborough Golf Club on November 13. We wish her a good round.

The second qualifying round for the Veterans was finalised with the following women to play off: Heather Long to play Judy Baker and Janette Hayward to play Di Day in the semi-final to be played by November 1.
