All the usual favourites were available along with some new and exciting items like accommodation in Queensland and the Docklands.
A big crowd enjoyed talks from coaches Paul Newman and Sarah Kent, and Ken Sheldon entertained everyone with stories of his experiences in football.
The club thanked everyone who donated goods or services and auctioneer Brendan McConnell for their generosity.
The Bombers’ next home game is this Sunday, where Kyabram will play against Rochester. The club is inviting the whole town to come down and get involved.
Brad shares load at Tatura
FORMER Bombers player Brad Ryan has stepped up to the plate to co-captain Tatura this season.
Replacing outgoing captain Tom Miller was always going to be a tough ask — so much so that two players have been tasked with sharing that responsibility.
Along with Brad Ryan, Mitch Elliott is captaining the Bulldogs.
Ryan, 25, has rarely missed a game since heading to the Kennel from Kyabram in 2014, notching up his 100th senior game for the Bulldogs in round 13 against Shepparton United.
‘‘It’s a bit of a step up obviously, but I’m enjoying it,’’ he said.
‘‘It’s a good challenge and I feel like we’ve got four or five guys, or even more, who can lead as a group. Hopefully I can help to get the best out of the group as a collective.’’
Peter’s trip goes swimmingly
KYABRAM Swimming Club’s Peter Tindale has returned from the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa after he judged its swimming competitions for five days in the nation’s capital of Apia.
Peter presented jerseys to swimming club the Basket Weavers on behalf of Kyabram Swimming Club and said he’s proud of how much our Pacific Island neighbours have achieved.
“It was a great trip and it was good to work at an international level… a lot warmer than here,” Peter said.
Peter plans to source 50-100 pairs of goggles to be sent over this November for developing swimmers in the region, some of whom don’t have sports swimming pools to train in.
