There's a reason long-suffering Dragons fans fly a flag reading: 'Great St George team' - the Dragons truly were a great team. In an utterly dominant, trophy-laden period, they won a remarkable 11 premierships in a row. The club's golden era spawned four of the 13 current NRL Immortals - Norm Provan, Johnny Raper, Reg Gasnier and Graeme Langlands.
* SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS (1967-1971)
The Rabbitohs were the club that ended the Dragons' stranglehold on the premiership trophy and set about building a legacy of their own. John Sattler and Ron Coote were front and centre of their emergence as a competition heavyweight. Souths won four grand finals, three minor premierships and finished runners-up to Balmain in 1969 - the only year in that period they didn't claim the title.
* PARRAMATTA EELS (1981-1986)
Since their inception in 1947, Parramatta had collected nine wooden spoons as the 1980s dawned. All that changed in 1981, when they built a near-unstoppable side boasting Mick Cronin, Peter Sterling and Brett Kenny. Success wasn't a one-off, with Parramatta also winning the title in 1982 and 1983 to complete the most-recent premiership three-peat. They reclaimed their crown in 1986 but have not won a title since.
* BRISBANE BRONCOS (1992-2000)
With Wayne Bennett at the helm, Brisbane became a force within just a few years of their foundation. Under the master coach they won back-to-back titles in 1992 and 1993, as well as claiming the 1997 Super League crown and the NRL in 1998 and 2000. The Broncos also picked up four minor premierships in that time, with Kevin Walters a part of each and every one of those successes.
