Eight months after Uiatu "Joan" Taufua allegedly veered her car onto the wrong side of a road and into an oncoming car, the case was mentioned in court on Thursday.
Susan Zimmer, 70, her partner Chris Fawcett, 79, and Ms Zimmer's daughter Steffanie, 35, died in the crash on a narrow road in the Gold Coast hinterland on December 30.
Taufua was the sole survivor and was later charged with three counts of manslaughter and driving under the influence.
She was also charged with the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evading police and driving without a licence.
The 46-year-old's charges were mentioned during the brief hearing in Southport Magistrates Court and remanded for mention on September 14.
Taufua, who remains in custody, has retained fresh interstate lawyers - the third firm to represent her.
Taufua was on parole at the time of the crash after being sentenced to nine months in prison for assaulting two security guards at the Star Casino. Her parole was later revoked.
Taufua is also the mother of rising Gold Coast Titans player Klese Haas.
