Every student, every teacher, every school, every day.
That is the motto of the Magnify Sandhurst teaching program, which launched at St Augustine’s College’s teachers’ day on Tuesday, January 28.
The new program, which was implemented in classrooms from the first day of this school year, aims to have students learning and behaving the same as other students in Sandhurst schools.
Tim Campbell, who assumed the role of principal at St Augustine’s in 2025, described the program as an evidence-based, comprehensive initiative with ambitious goals.
“The driving goal of Magnify Sandhurst is to provide impactful interventions for all leaders, teachers and schools so that their students will attain learner growth at least equivalent to their peers in other jurisdictions, but most especially relative to the Victorian state averages,” he said.
The innovative strategy ensures consistency and quality across schools by providing standardised, expertly curated lesson plans developed by qualified teachers.

Mr Campbell said the program was conceived as a four-year plan, running from 2024 to 2027, that would be further nuanced and developed as data and feedback became available.
“Magnify is deliberately bold and wide-ranging, generating whole-of-system change, which will ultimately improve student outcomes,” he said.
The college’s new bus also enhances educational access, providing safe and reliable transportation for students between Tatura and Kyabram.
The college literally rolled into term three last year with this new 71-seat initiative, aiming to make transport safer and more effective.

St Augustine’s College students travelling from Tatura were forced to use the V/Line service as the school bus system did not facilitate a link between Tatura and Kyabram.
This proved to be problematic, posing several safety concerns for students, parents and the college. With no government support, St Augustine’s took matters into its own hands and set up this exclusive service to support its students. The college has received an overwhelmingly positive response.
The benefits of the St Augustine’s bus also extend to facilitating local transfers and excursions during the school day for all of its students.
