Jaclyn Wickham, a mum of four, was cheered on by a large contingent of family and friends as she lost her locks at the Kyabram Club.
“I shaved my hair as I have had friends and family affected by cancer,” Mrs Wickham said.
“My nan’s birthday was November 4 and she passed away from bowel cancer.”
Strong support: Jaclyn Wickham’s husband, Jason Wickham, and children, Curtis, 11, Oliver, 8, Flynn 4 and Grace 3 are proud of her fundraising efforts.

Her husband Jason and children, Curtis, 11, Oliver, 8, Flynn, 4 and Grace, 3, all watched on as mum gained a new look.
Another onlooker was Mrs Wickham’s sister Nicole Carters, who could not have been any more prouder.
“She’s got the biggest heart,” Mrs Carters said.
“We thought that it was going to be a small thing.”

Funds raised on the day went to The Gift, a Kyabram-based organisation that helps support people with cancer.
Mrs Wickham also donated her platted hair to the Variety Club program Hair with Heart, which creates wigs for children who have lost their hair due to a medical condition.
“I wish to give others the gift of a wig to give them confidence and remember they are not on this journey alone,” she said.
“My aim was to raise $1500 to donate to the Kyabram Gift, and thanks to the overwhelming support of our community I can confirm I raised just over $5000!”

Mrs Wickham has organised many events to help raise money, including a screening of Barbie at Kyabram Plaza and a sausage sizzle at the Kyabram Show.
Mrs Wickham said the raffle delivered a great story of its own.
“We have successfully sold the remaining tickets and drew the Thermomix raffle yesterday, with the winner being Kira Vice from Shepparton, who is 37 weeks’ pregnant and purchased the ticket herself as a push present!” Mrs Wickham said.
Mrs Wickham issued a special thank you to the Fringe Factory and hairdresser Nicole Bradley for letting her borrow the shears and scissors.
