Call for calm

Federation Council’s Paul Miegel has called for calm regarding the coronavirus, rather than fear.

“All that fear achieves is not much other than negativity,” Cr Miegel, the vastly experienced pharmacist said at council’s monthly meeting on March 17.

“Be respectful of others and yourself. Be vigilant that you don’t put yourself in higher risk.

“We’re all going to be impacted by the loss of social events. I ask for calm.”

As the health situation continues, the main priorities for Federation Council are the health, safety and well-being of the staff, volunteers, contractors and their families, and ensuring delivery of critical services – as conveyed in The Free Press last week.
