Australia have India on the ropes in the pink-ball Test at the WACA, with the home side expected to seal victory on Sunday.
India will resume play on day three at 6-105 in their second innings and still needing a further 20 runs to make Australia bat again in Healy's international farewell.
Pratika Rawal (43no) and Sneh Rana (14no) face a huge task to guide India out of trouble, especially with allrounder Annabel Sutherland (2-15) and 19-year-old left-hand debutant Lucy Hamilton (3-32) going in for the kill.
Healy made just 13 in Australia's first-innings total of 323 batting at No.4, and with Australia expected to be chasing a small victory target, there's a very real prospect she won't bat again unless she promotes herself to opener.
Healy has indicated she is reluctant to do that, but her teammates may end up forcing her hand.
"Absolutely, I'd love to see it," Sutherland said.
"I'm sure a few will be encouraging her -- but you never know, you might see her with the ball first."
Healy, a wicketkeeper by trade, is playing her 11th Test but is yet to bowl in the format.
The 35-year-old sent down her first overs in an international match just a week ago when she returned figures of 0-12 off two overs in her ODI farewell - her 126th match in the format.
Given Beth Mooney is donning the gloves for the current Test, Healy could be thrown the ball at some stage as part of her farewell celebrations.
But the fans will no doubt want to see her bat one final time in the baggy green.
Such is Healy's affable nature, she was spotted playing cricket with schoolkids during the tea break on Saturday.
"She's just been Midge," Sutherland said of Healy's presence in the group.
"She's had great energy and been her cheeky self, which has been awesome, and it'll be really nice to hopefully send her off on a good note."
Australia lead the multi-format series 8-4, meaning India needed to win the Test in order to draw the series.
Sutherland is almost certain to be named player of the Test following her heroics with both bat and ball.
The 24-year-old snared 4-46 in India's first innings and has already added two second-innings scalps to her name.
And with the bat, Sutherland cracked 129 off 171 balls to post her third consecutive Test century and fourth all up in the format.Â
Sutherland is the fastest woman to four Test centuries, and she needs just one more ton to equal the all-time record of five set by former England star Jan Brittin, who played 27 Tests until 1998.
Allrounder Ellyse Perry also put herself in rare air during the Test when her knock of 76 took her to 1006 Test runs - surpassing the previous Australian women's record of 1002 held by Karen Rolton.
Brittin holds the overall record with 1935 runs.
Although 35-year-old Perry is unlikely to surpass that mark given her age and the lack of Tests played in women's cricket, Sutherland could be in for a red-hot crack over the next decade.
Sutherland has already posted 715 runs from seven Tests, and boasts an astronomical average of 89.37.
