The Saints won the toss and elected to bat, but started poorly.
Both Saints openers Rory Knight (1), bowled, and Tristan Mears (10), caught, succumbed to Stephen Badrock (2/20).
Matt Ross and Zach Taylor-Nugent then steadied the innings for the Saints, taking the score to 43 before the bowling change of Andrew Hogan (2/14) claimed Ross, caught for 19.
The Saints were now 3/43.
Connor Thornton was next in and, with Nugent, pushed singles and twos on the slow outfield.
They took the score to 71 at the drinks break however shortly after drinks, Thornton was bowled by Hogan for 17 and then Nugent was caught off the spin of Noah Sneddon (4/21) for 35.
The Saints were now 5/90.
Tim Copper and Matt Whelan were the new batsmen in, but when Whelan was trapped LBW by Sneddon for four and new man Travis Lawton had his stumps up-ended the Saints were reeling at 7/112 with eight overs to play.
Darcy Pyle was next in, and Cooper took charge of the innings utelising the cut shot to his advantage.
They raced the score to 128 before Cooper was bowled by Sneddon for 26, leaving the Saints at 8/128 with two overs to play.
Jordan Swann joined Pyle in the middle and the two took advantage of some poor wicket keeping.
They picked off some runs to the extras column, and after 40 overs the Saints finished 8/135 with Pyle on four not out and Swann on one not out.
In the Saints’ turn in the middle, Cobram’s opening pair Brian Eddy and Brett Gallagher had the upper hand against openers Whelan (0/7) and Nugent.
They raced the score to 23 before the Nugent (1/17) got one to bounce on Eddy, which was edged to Lawton in the gully.
Ross came into the attack with a dangerous spell claiming Gallagher, caught behind for nine, Chase Hardwidge for a duck, Reid Verhoven (1) LBW and Jay Silva (1) LBW.
He took the score to 5/34 after 16 overs.
Connor Thornton (2/20) chimed in, claiming Reece Hardwidge for four, caught, and set batsman Hogan for 14, caught.
The Tigers were in all sorts of trouble at 7/55.
Sneddon and Lachlan Adams added a further nine runs before Ross claimed his fifth wicket, bowling Sneddon for 15.
Adams followed shortly later when Lawton (1/12) had him caught and bowled for one.
J Badden hit a quickfire 15 before he was run out by Lawton for 15, and Cobram finished 10/81 with Badrock on 1 no.
Ross claimed the Tim Harris Transport Award for his 5/5 off five overs.
This week sees the Saints host Barooga in their final home and away match.
