Held on the first Sunday of each month, the market has become a hub for vendors and visitors alike.
Stanhope Community Market Committee member Christine Dicketts is excited about the change.
“There has been a Stanhope Garage Sale for 15 years and we had community members ask if we would change it to be a community market,” Christine said.
“We have changed to the Stanhope Community Market on the first Sunday of the month and opened up to many more and different stalls.”
The market’s growth has been remarkable since its relaunch.
“We had about 40 stalls at the first one in March this year, and it has just grown since then,” Christine said.
Visitors can now explore a variety of offerings, including plants, crafts, food and garage sale items.
Located on Stanhope’s main street, Birdwood Ave, the dog-friendly market is free to enter from 8am to 1pm.
