Merrigum Primary School fosters community spirit and diverse learning

Set in the small township of Merrigum, with spacious grounds for the students to run and play, Merrigum Primary School offers an active and stimulating space for all students.

It has a vibrant educational partnership between parents, staff and the wider school community.

Students enjoy helping out organisations and groups in the community by doing a letter drop around town when they have events coming up.

Students have structured lessons in Auslan, gardening, art and library and they get to try different sports such as tennis, basketball, table tennis and pickleball.

The school has a great supply of laptops and iPads, ensuring there are enough for every student.

During Education Week, the school will be doing some activities based around this term’s theme of construction and students will work on their Caine’s Arcade games.

There will also be a focus on literacy and numeracy as the staff are always committed to making sure that all students achieve their best.

With low teacher-to-students ratios and caring and professional staff, Merrigum Primary School strives to provide every child with a range of activities to make school a happy and safe place to learn.
