Principal Jackie Stockdale said the theme aligned beautifully with the school’s values and offered a meaningful opportunity for students to explore and embrace diversity.
“At St Patrick’s, we believe that understanding and appreciating different cultures is a vital part of growing as learners and as people,” Ms Stockdale said.
“Education Week gives us a chance to shine a light on the many cultures that make up our community and to honour the traditions, languages and stories that shape who we are.”
Throughout the week, students have been engaging in a range of cultural activities— from music and art to storytelling and food experiences — celebrating the many backgrounds represented in the school community.
“It’s not just about learning about other cultures, it’s about truly celebrating them,” Ms Stockdale said.
“We want every student to feel proud of who they are and where they come from and to respect and value the unique heritage of others.”
