As a Catholic school in the heart of Tatura, Sacred Heart places a strong emphasis on partnering with families to nurture not only academic skills, but the whole child — spiritually, socially and emotionally — from the very beginning.
Principal Carolyn Goode said Foundation students enter a highly supportive environment.
“The buddy program is an excellent initiative that ensures students feel supported as they start school,” Mrs Goode said.
“Student wellbeing is a strong priority at our school, with a social worker supporting students, along with a range of wellbeing programs and activities available.”
The school focuses on building strong foundations in literacy through programs such as MultiLit and Ochre.
Specialist programs include Italian, Music, Art, Library and Physical Education.
“This breadth ensures children are stimulated, engaged and given opportunities to explore their interests from the outset,” Mrs Goode said.
“The Teach Well program, used alongside Ochre, supports the implementation of a robust mathematics program, while the school’s Catholic identity shines through daily life and learning.”
With close ties to the Sacred Heart Parish, students participate in meaningful Religious Education and communal celebrations, helping to foster compassion, faith and a strong sense of belonging within a close-knit community.
Sacred Heart Tatura welcomes children of all faiths and will host an open day on Thursday, March 26 at 9.30 am and 5.30 pm, giving prospective families the opportunity to experience the school community first-hand.
“Come and see why students at Sacred Heart Tatura flourish,” Mrs Goode said.
