SecureNT said 178 virus-positive people are now in hospital across the region, up from 156 on Monday.
Five of those are in intensive care.
Before the numbers were released on Tuesday, Chief Minister Michael Gunner said the situation remained within the Territory's ability to offer the appropriate care to those who needed it.
"At the moment everything is landing within our ability to handle," he told ABC radio.
"That's where we want to have it."Â
But Mr Gunner said the next two weeks would be the most important, with hospital admissions generally lagging behind any rise in virus infections.
He said the territory was thought to have reached its peak in the current outbreak last week.
The imminent arrival of new anti-viral medications, while not a silver bullet, could also have an impact on hospitalisations, the chief minister said.
With the new cases on Tuesday, the territory is now dealing with 7407 active infections.
