‘‘I think we have the most supporters in the league, and also the most loyal, so we hope they turn out in force on Friday night and again on Sunday.
‘‘Our teams and coaches have done a great job in getting our two teams into the grand final and deserve all the support they can get from the townspeople.’’

For those who can’t make the game, it will be covered by radio station ONE FM 98.5 and also will be live-streamed.

He showed a lot of football promise as a teenager and was courted by Footscray (now Western Bulldogs) in 1965.
