The Shepparton South and Ardmona post offices will be shut until September 6, while Shepparton East's post office will only open from 8 am to 11.30 am until that same date.
But an Australia Post spokesperson said the mail system would continue functioning to ensure minimal delays to any mail.
“Our local retail, processing and delivery teams are working hard to keep delivering for the Shepparton community and currently there are minimal delays to mail and parcels,” they said.
“The health and safety of our people remains our priority, and we have strong COVID-safe plans in place and while there have been no direct COVID-19 exposures at any of our delivery centres or post offices in Shepparton or in the surrounding areas, we have been required to reduce hours or close some outlets due to staff being identified as close and casual contacts.
“We encourage our customers to help keep our people safe by keeping a safe distance when accepting a delivery, checking in when the visit the post office and staying home if they have any symptoms.”
