You may notice a little more pink about Kyabram in the month of May, and here’s why.
For May, the team at Kyabram Bakers Delight have been fundraising for the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Australia campaign.
This year, they intend to raise $20,000 for the BCNA campaign, but to do so they need the community’s support.
On Thursday, May 8, the team were a vision of pink – pink hats, pink tutus, pink boas – all to raise crucial funds for breast cancer.
It was one of two of their fundraising days, with the other set to take place from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, May 15, with the Kyabram Lions handling the sausage sizzle, kindly provided by Farm Fresh Meats.
Kyabram franchise owners Vince and Liza Curtis have been selling baked goods to the community for 22 years and have been the masterminds behind the store’s passionate Pink Bun campaign.
Since 2000, Bakers Delight has partnered with BCNA and raised over $25 million for the cause.
