Bring your bright idea to life with a grant

The raising of the Rotary Deniliquin Time Capsule, it’s refurbishment and reburial was supported by the 2024-25 Community Grants Program. Pictured at the January 2025 lifting are past Rotary Club of Deniliquin president Ian McAtamney (left) and current president Ian Goodway.

Do you have a local project that can strengthen and uplift the Edward River community?

You could be eligible for up to $3000 to support your project through Edward River Council’s 2025 Community Grants.

Applications opened this week, and close on August 1.

Whether it’s a cultural initiative, a community event, or a project that enhances livability in the region, council wants to hear from the passionate individuals and organisations who make Edward River such a vibrant place to live.

The grants are available to community groups and not-for-profit organisations.

The program is designed to fund “read to roll” projects that:

• Enhance livability in the Edward River region

• Meet cultural needs and aspirations

• Build and strengthen community prosperity

This year, the application process is easier than ever, thanks to a streamlined online application form available on the Edward River Council website.

For those who have questions or need a little guidance, council’s community and economic development (CED) team is ready to help. Reach out to grants officer Ellie Danckert at ellie.danckert@edwardriver.nsw.gov.au.

Council encourages anyone with a great idea to take that next step and apply. Don’t miss this opportunity to make a real impact in your community.

The application form is available at https://www.edwardriver.nsw.gov.au/Community/Grants-and-Sponsorships.
