To celebrate five ‘wild’ decades, the park is hosting a celebration on March 15 and 16.
Designed for the whole family, the weekend’s events will include jumping castles, face painting and free keeper talks.
Visitors can meet the park’s newest residents, Dozer and Shadow, two little desert dingoes that recently joined the resident pair, Dipa and Yula.
The event gives families the chance to discover the brand-new cassowary and wombat habitats, while the kids enjoy cooling off in the splash park.

Among the celebrations will be a history wall for visitors to follow and learn about the park’s 50-year journey, from initial planning through to the present day.
The historical journey will continue through the park to Hazelman’s Cottage, where visitors can enjoy live music.
While the event celebrates the past 50 years, families can also look forward to celebrating the park’s bright future, including a new wildlife hospital opening in 2027 to provide care for injured wildlife across Northern Victoria.
The celebrations will take place from 10am to 3pm both days.
Event entry is included with park admission and children get free entry throughout the weekend.
