The college proudly unveiled its new Ninja Warrior obstacle course on Tuesday, August 19, showcasing the successful collaboration between community organisations in bringing this project to life.
The course features a diverse range of obstacles, including monkey bars, a balance beam, and the adrenaline-pumping vertical wall, designed to test the skills of even the most athletic children.
The $10,000 project, funded by Community Bank Kyabram, ACHPER Victoria and the Kyabram Club, features obstacles and climbing frames aimed at making movement an integral part of daily learning.
At Tuesday’s launch, acting assistant principal Mitchell Coombs demonstrated the course’s accessibility.

“This has been a really important project for our school. The engagement from students has been pretty much instant. And in doing so, they’re learning to take risks, try again, support one another and generally enjoy being active,” Mr Coombs said.
“I had to give it a go too and lucky I’m still in one piece!”
Community Bank Kyabram engagement lead Nattalie Joinbee said good things came from creating environments for young people, especially for the wider community.
The initiative reflects a broader commitment to youth wellbeing in Kyabram through collaboration between educators and community partners.
“We’re behind projects that build kids’ confidence and connection, and the ninja course really delivers on both,” Ms Joinbee said.
The Ninja Warrior course is open to the community to be used outside school hours — so if you’re brave enough, take on the challenge.
