Community groups can now apply for rebates

Community groups in Elmore and Goornong can now apply for funding for local projects through Coliban Water’s latest round of community rebates.

Eligible organisations can apply for up to $6000 for projects in towns where service has not met expected standards.

Recipients from the December 2025 round included a variety of groups, from schools and playgrounds to community planning committees and local SES units.

Executive manager of customer and stakeholder experience Lauren McLean said the rebates were an important way of recognising the impact service issues can have on customers.

“From unexpected supply interruptions to water quality concerns, we know these events can be disruptive for the people who rely on us every day,” Ms McLean said.

“Each funding round highlights the outstanding work of community organisations, often undertaken behind the scenes and driven by genuine commitment.

“We are proud to support initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes and encourage all eligible groups to apply.”

Applications close Monday, April 20, with successful recipients announced on Monday, May 11.
