“I’ve been performing for 30 years and have enjoyed the journey so far,” Don said.
“I’ve been to Tamworth numerous times and was inducted into the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame in Tamworth and South Australia, which have been highlights.
“I love performing songs, performing for audiences and I love performing.
“I love country music; I am a big country music fan.”
Heavily influenced by artists such as Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson and Dwight Yoakam, Don is guaranteed to keep the crowds entertained.
“Willie Nelson, George Jones, Slim Dusty are all the usual suspects that have helped to create such wonderful music that we love and treasure,” Don said.
“A lot of the early artists paved the way and created an industry that a lot of us have tried to follow in their footsteps and carve our own part of.”
Don has recently released a new album, Country Fever, full of great country favourites, which he will perform at Kyabram.
The gates of the showgrounds will open on Monday, November 6 for everyone to start setting up camp, with onsite caravan and motorhome facilities available.
All smiles: Performers and attendees are sure to have a great time.
