To help that, the school has undergone several facility upgrades.
The campus centre now boasts three state-of-the-art buildings: the Dungala building houses administration and a dedicated wellbeing hub, the Algabonya building features a modern resource library and staffroom, and a new canteen caters to nutritional needs.
Principal Marina Walsh said the buildings' names, chosen from the Yorta Yorta language, reflected the school’s commitment to cultural respect and community engagement, having been selected in consultation with the College Council and local elders.
She said the changes were motivated by wanting to provide as much opportunity for students as possible.
“These additions support increased student engagement,” she said.
“Our students have been able to participate in more activities which support student engagement and, in turn, supports improved learning outcomes for our students.”
Kyabram P-12 College’s grounds have also been transformed.

The school grounds have undergone a complete transformation, featuring new line markings, diverse outdoor play areas including a nine-square court, gaga pits, outdoor table tennis tables and beautifully revamped landscaping, all designed to enhance students’ outdoor experiences.
Mrs Walsh expressed gratitude for the community’s patience during the refurbishment process, emphasising that the significant upgrades would create an even more conducive environment for student learning and development.
“Everyone in one way or another has made a difference to the positive learning of our students,” Mrs Walsh said.
“These new buildings being central for all students to access has seen the year levels working closer together.
“We have always had cross-age activities occur at our school … this just makes it easier to support that to happen.”
