The committees are aligned to G-MW’s different services and customer groups across northern Victoria.
They provide a direct voice for customers, helping shape the water corporation’s services, future planning and priorities.
The committees contribute to a range of topics, including developing G-MW’s Price Plan 2028-33, asset management and infrastructure planning, and planning for drought, climate variability and future water challenges.
G-MW currently has vacancies in the following committees: Goulburn Murray Irrigation District (GMID) Customer Committee – East, (one vacancy in Murray Valley, one in Shepparton) GMID Customer Committee – West (one vacancy in Torrumbarry), Pumped Districts Customer Committee (one vacancy in Woorinen) and Water Districts Customer Committee — North (one vacancy in East Loddon).
G-MW managing director Steve Capewell encouraged the water corporation’s customers to submit an expression of interest for a vacant position.
Customer committee members have direct access to G-MW staff and subject-matter experts, hear different customer perspectives and provide input on important issues before proposals and decisions are made.
People can submit their expression of interest by heading to: yoursay.gmwater.com.au/customer-committees
Expressions of interest close on Sunday, October 18.
